Access to HE courses: retention, selection and demand - summary of findings from special appendices 2009

AVAs provided reports in December 2009 on work they had undertaken at QAA's request to investigate reasons for varying withdrawal rates and to explore the impact of the use of retention benchmarks on Access to HE.

QAA has now published a summary of the findings, which outlines the outcomes of this work and goes on to review the range and impact of retention and selection strategies adopted by colleges. It also includes a consideration of any change in demand for Access to HE courses in 2009-10 and how providers responded to that demand. Read the report
